Well, I think Crisitano should not take over Number 7 even if Raul is really going to leave from Real Madrid this summer.
Other person should be take over Number 7 of Real Madrid instead of Cristiano…

Hmm, this is a tough one. They should either retire the number completely in Raul’s honor or maybe they should give it to Cris. Maybe it’s the motivation Cristiano needs, like he lived up to the #7 shirt in Manchester??? He’ll need to do the same for Real Madrid’s #7 as well. It’s better than giving the shirt # away to some nobody talentless person and in the process disrespect Raul and all he did for Real Madrid. Either retire it or give it to Cristiano I say.

Hmmm, I think it will be a good motivation for Cristiano since he loves number 7 (because he was putting on number 7 in Man Utd. and now for Portugal team). I wonder if he will be able to be simbol for Real Madrid such as Raul at this moment… It is the best way to retire the number 7 until someone who should be put it on will appear (Cristiano may be the person in future but I’m not sure now).
If Raul will give it to Cristiano, then Cristiano can put it on but he should follow up Raul and to be grown up.

Agreed Miho. Cristiano has the potential to be a great icon for Real and like you mentioned, the #7 will mean growing up a bit, both in the field and out….:P I don’t think Raul would have a problem giving him the shirt number.

I know that Cris only been a year with RM, but seeing his achievement so far at RM, plus he’s the icon of the club, then nobody deserves number 7 except him….
